Cadillac Mountain, at 1,530 feet, is one of the area's highest points. The Green Mountain was renamed in 1918.

Park Loop Road is a 27-mile long scenic drive. It has many scenic overlooks along the way.

Jordan Pond is a glacial tarn. It is approximately 187 acres in size and offers numerous recreational opportunities.

Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse is located in the southwest of Mount Desert Island. It is a 33 foot tall historic lighthouse built in 1858.

Sand Beach is one of the few places in Newport Cove where you can swim leisurely. It is 290 yards long and has a few amenities.

Carriage Roads is 45 miles long and has 17 beautiful stone arch bridges.

The Beehive Trail, roughly 1.4 miles back and forth, is an adventurous hiking trail for more seasoned hikers.

Inexperienced hikers should avoid the Precipice Trail. It's 2.5 miles long and takes 2–3 hours to complete.

Otter Cliff is a popular tourist destination in Acadia National Park. It stands 110 feet tall and is close to attractions like Sand Beach and Thunder Hole.
